TAJ News Talk: November 3rd 2017

Title: Looking up and Looking Forward

As November comes swiftly upon us, the festive period is starting to get into full swing.

And despite the issues with our economy, shopping continues at pace.

But you have to wonder how much of it is pretense…how many people can afford the higher electric rates, toys, food, and all the accessories?

Head of the Chaguanas Chamber, Vishnu Charran was realistic about the situation.

Charran said the Central region remains a shopping hub. But he admitted recent disasters may affect Christmas time sales in the Borough.

Banding your belly is a nice phrase.

But does anyone really take it on?

Will we forever continue to be “Trickydadians” and not fully grasp the severity of our situation?

Or will we be silenced by our own raucous shouts of merriment and laughter, while others cry and sob in the dark.

It’s make or break time.

Let’s make it.
