TAJ News Talk: April 24th 2017

Title: Where do we go from here?

As July comes slowly to close and the rains pick up, our hearts and prayers go out to those who suffered because of poor weather this weekend.

Spare a thought for the Chance family of Penal, flooded out yet again.

Where do we really go from here…that’s the title of the blog today.

But it seems like this country is rudderless.

After the pappy show between Government and Opposition last week, has anything changed?

Are the businesses happier? No.

Is the crime down? Certainly not.

Is the POS General Hospital creating more illness than it cures? With raw sewage allegedly in the kitchen, HIGHLY likely.

Is the justice system still a laughing matter? Most definitely.

So where DO we go from here?

The question has a number of questions to answer before.

Like for example, why doesn’t the Housing Ministry act on those who need accommodation the most?

Why is the Couva Hospital collecting dust, while patients collect diseases in other medical facilities?

We need money. Why aren’t we letting businessmen do what they do best?

The time is drawing close for action, instead of talk.

The talk is nice, it sounds wonderful and for radio and tv journalists, you get some wonderful soundbites and clips.

But time is running out. And action is needed quickly.
