Nawazuddin Siddiqui believed that there was no racism in the Bollywood film industry until now. The actor recently tweeted about the preferences in Bollywood based on skin colour.
On Monday July 17, 2017, Siddiqui wrote on his Twitter account, “Thank U 4 making me realise dat I cannot b paired along wid d fair & handsome bcz I m dark & not good looking, but I never focus on that.” No one is certain what prompted this statement from the actor as just last year he claimed there was no racism in the film industry. According to Times of India, in an interview during 2016, Siddiqui said, “I think there is no racism in this film industry. They are only in need of talent though it takes time, if you are talented you will get your due. I am thankful to be part of this industry.”
Though he had a rough start to his acting career, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is credited as one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood having seen him in Gangs Of Wasseypur, Kahaani, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Raees and quite recently, he made a special appearance in Jagga Jasoos. He will be seen next in Munna Michael alongside Tiger Shroff.
