Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, trumps Bollywood
SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, has made more than Rs 1000 crores ($156 million) worldwide since its release on April 28, according to analysts. It holds the record for the
highest grossing film to date coming out of India. The South Indian film, is filled with special effects and amazing acting by Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Tamanna and the rest of the cast. It managed to surpass Amir Khan’s PK and Dangal which held the highest grossing title until its release. It was shot in the Telugu and Tamil languages of southern India, whose film industries, are known as Tollywood and Kollywood respectively. They are often overshadowed by Hindi-speaking Bollywood, but definitely made their mark with Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. It was later done in Hindi aas “Baahu-mania” struck audiences.
