Arjun Kapoor is no stranger to Bollywood since he comes from a family of actors. The younger Kapoor said he does not see his family as competitive but as inspiration.
In a recent interview with Times of India, Kapoor said, “I have never ever looked at my family members as competition. I am not competitive with my family at all. I want them all to do well and I don’t ever think like that. Where the house is concerned, for me it has never been about competition.” Kapoor maintains that although he is not competitive, he is ambitious. He wants to do well as an actor and that is where his focus is.
Prior to acting, Kapoor worked as an assistant director and associate producer on films like Kal Ho Naa Ho and Wanted. When asked if his behind the camera experience helped with his acting career, he explained, “I would like to believe yes, because it does allow me to be part of appreciating the whole process of filmmaking rather than just the acting. And I really do enjoy being part of that entire journey rather than just focus on my performance alone.”
Arjun Kapoor made his acting debut in 2012 in Ishaqzaade and has done films with Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh and Irfan Khan since then. Soon, the actor will be sharing screen space with his uncle Anil Kapoor in Mubarakan. Promotions for the film is well on its way and the film is set to be released on July 28th 2017.
